About Me

My photo
Leia
I was Mormon for 28 years before shedding my religion. I searched for god, but found him to be absent. Through my search for an imaginary god, I found truth in very unexpected places. As I built up my knowledge and found answers to so many unanswered questions, I realized I was atheist. And I found so much peace in that simple, well earned realization. I am a mother of two wonderful freethinking girls and the wife to a husband who still has a belief in a higher power. You would think that would cause issues and marital strife, but it really hasn't. He is supportive and was with me through every step of the painful journey to shed my beliefs. I write for myself and for other people who may be doubting Mormonism or varying forms of Christianity, but I hope all that read my jumbled writings can take something from my experience.
